Dida, the school chair with five design awards to its name

With Dida, a new classic has been born for the school chair segment. Dida chair, designed for school furniture manufacturer Federico Giner, continues to add to its list of accolades with an A’ Design Award, its fifth design award.

The A’ Design Award joins the international German Design Award and the European Product Design Award, as well as the Delta Award and the ADCV Gold Prize in the Contract Furniture Category.

In the last few years, Dida has set a new design benchmark for school furniture as it aligns with active learning methodologies and new digital technologies. 

Dida is the result of a decade long collaboration between Alegre Design and Federico Giner and its design concept and manufacture are based on mobility, hygiene and well-being.

This a cross-disciplinary product for all kind of educational environments that ensures the correct posture of students and teachers at all times, creating a comfortable 360º sitting experience, that is, frontally, laterally and inverted.

Dida was conceived and developed to meet the needs of the new education which promotes a more dynamic, comprehensive, collaborative and meaningful learning experience. It is available in different sizes for different age groups.

Due to its design and ease of cleaning, it can be used beyond the classroom, in areas such as the dining room, laboratories and work areas of teachers and administrative personnel.

Awards such as the A’ Design Award are a testament to Dida’s excellence in terms of design, engineering, and manufacture.
