From Spain With Design Essence: celebrating design in Washington, D.C.

At Alegre Design, we are thrilled to kick off 2025 with an exciting announcement: today, Thursday, January 23, marks the opening of From Spain With Design Essence (FSWD) at the Spanish Cultural Center in Washington, D.C. This exhibition is a collaborative initiative led by the Spanish Cultural Office and READ, aimed at promoting the internationalization of Spanish design and introducing the creativity of our professionals to new audiences.

We are honored to showcase two of our most emblematic projects in this prestigious exhibition: Eyesynth and Eurus.

These glasses allow users to “see” through sound, transforming the environment into comprehensible information. Designed to be both functional and elegant, Eyesynth embodies our commitment to inclusive design and life-changing technology.

Discover Eurus here. Eurus, on the other hand, is a centrifugal fan that combines energy efficiency with cutting-edge design. Inspired by sustainability, Eurus is a testament to how design can solve everyday challenges with smart, eco-conscious solutions.

From Spain With Design Essence is an adaptation of the original exhibition first launched in 2021 in Santiago de Compostela, which has since traveled to six cities before arriving in Washington, D.C. The showcase features works presented in panel, poster, and video formats, all within a responsive exhibition design tailored specifically to the Spanish Cultural Center’s space.

This event not only highlights the creativity and talent of Spanish designers but also builds a cultural bridge between Spain and the United States, demonstrating how design can transcend borders and create impact.
