Movably wins an International Design Award (IDA)

Movably Pro is a winner! Our interactive smart chair for standing desks has been recognized by the International Design Awards (IDA). These awards, created by a group of designers, thinkers and entrepreneurs back in 2007, celebrate smart and sustainable multidisciplinary designs.

And they have distinguished our Movably Pro design, manufactured by our client Movably Inc. in the United States. Its design incorporates movement without disrupting workflow, as it allows a wide range of postures and prompts natural movement throughout the day.

The user gets to move, working standing, sitting, or supporting only one leg, in a comfortable way. It also achieves a more inclusive design, for people of all different heights, and user safety has been paramount in the design process, to avoid trapped fingers.

The division of its seat into two halves is an innovative feature that provides a greater capacity for movement to the people who use it.

The International Design Awards’ mission is to recognize, celebrate and promote exceptional design visionaries and discover emerging talent in Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic and Fashion Design worldwide.
