OFY wins a German Design Award

We’re thrilled that Narbuta’s OFY chair, designed by our team, has earned a German Design Award in the category Excellent Product Design – Office Furniture.

The German Design Council’s jury commended OFY for its “successful combination of ergonomics and individuality,” noting that it “provides each employee with a personalized seating experience that enhances daily comfort. Its harmonious design and use of high-quality materials create an inviting office atmosphere.”

OFY, which stands for ‘Only For You,’ is the result of a close collaboration with Lithuanian furniture manufacturer Narbutas. Together, we created a cohesive range of chairs tailored to contemporary working styles, ensuring functionality in both traditional and hybrid workspaces.

Modern offices demand adaptable solutions that prioritize productivity and well-being. Designed to support correct posture throughout the day, OFY delivers versatility and comfort through a minimalist plastic frame available in three sizes, combined with a variety of base options.

Research into armrest designs ensured seamless integration with the frame, providing compatibility with different upholsteries and sizes, all while meeting EU ergonomic standards and regulations.

Since its foundation in 1953, the German Design Council has observed, analysed and evaluated the international design scene. With the German Design Award, the German Design Council has established one of the most recognized design awards in the world.
